06-13-2022 A north Main Street Resident called to report that her 2019 Red Mercedes Benz C43 with Pa Reg# GAGA- 186 had been taken from her driveway. Investigation revealed that the vehicle was recovered in Newark NJ with damage to the front end. The vehicle was processed and the police investigator is awaiting a return on DNA and fingerprint evidence. This is the second Mercedes vehicle taken over the past few months in New Hope. It appears to be the work of an active group of car thieves working out of the Newark New Jersey area. The auto thieves target high end vehicles. All residents are urged to lock their vehicles at night.
