Doylestown Township Police handled 889 incidents during the month of May 2026. There were 39 traffic accidents investigated, 67 traffic citations issued, and 152 traffic warnings issued.
Assault:
On May 1st, 2026, police investigated a report of a patient assaulting two healthcare workers at Doylestown Hospital.
On May 2nd, 2026, police were called to the Central Bucks Family YMCA and later filed charges against a 53-year-old male for assault.
On May 24th, 2026, a 39-year-old male was arrested after threatening a Doylestown Hospital security officer with a knife.
Burglary:
On May 6th, 2026, Officers investigated a burglary of a dorm room on the campus at Delaware Valley University.
Criminal Mischief:
On May 15th, 2026, Township employees discovered vandalism in Central Park.
Disorderly Conduct:
On May 12th, 2026, Officers responded to Doylestown Hospital for a male who was causing a disturbance holding a yellow “taser” towards himself. The man followed police commands, was disarmed, and was admitted for mental health treatment.
On May 24th, 2026, Police took a report on Victoria Court for a neighbor causing a disturbance.
Driving Under the Influence:
On May 5th, 2026, a 58-year-old male was arrested for DUI following a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Burpee Road and Shady Retreat Road.
Fraud:
The department took 10 Fraud reports during the month of May.
Narcotics:
Police responded to Doylestown Hospital on May 15th and again on May 30th to take custody of narcotics and paraphernalia found on patients.
