A Sellersville woman was sentenced on Tuesday to four to eight years in state prison for manufacturing child pornography by filming herself inappropriately touching a 10-year-old boy.
Stephanie L. Chubb, 31, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of photographing or filming child sex acts and one count each of dissemination of photos or film of child sex acts, possession of child pornography, corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person less than 13, and child endangerment.
She appeared before President Judge Raymond F. McHugh on Tuesday, and he sentenced her to two to four years on each count of photographing or filming child sex acts to run consecutively, for a total of four to eight years.
As part of her sentence, Chubb is also required to register as a sex offender.
This investigation began in August 2023 after the Perkasie Borough Police Department received a report of a woman having indecent contact with a juvenile.
As part of the investigation, a Perkasie Detective Travis Schoonover interviewed a man who had been in a sexual relationship with Chubb.
The man told the detective that Chubb had sent him videos of child pornography, including some that showed her touching a 10-year-old boy. The man provided Detective Schoonover with evidence of text-based conversations with the defendant.
In one text conversation, Chubb sent the man three videos that depict child pornography. In a different conversation, she sent the man five more distinct videos, including two that showed Chubb inappropriately touching a boy.
This case was investigated by Detective Travis Schoonover with the Perkasie Borough Police Department and was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Sara Salvo.
