A 33-year-old Richlandtown man was sentenced today to four to 10 years in state prison for firing a shot at a DoorDash delivery driver in March 2025. 

Keilan Marshal McKeever, who appeared before Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr, was also ordered to pay $2,288 in restitution and undergo a mental health evaluation.  

McKeever had previously entered an open guilty plea in June to two counts of aggravated assault, and one count each of possession of a weapon, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and disorderly conduct, following the unprovoked shooting that nearly claimed the life of the young delivery worker.  

The incident unfolded on the night of March 22, 2025, near 1st Avenue and Cherry Street, after the victim, a 19-year-old college student working as a DoorDash driver to supplement his income, was completing an order at McKeever’s residence. 

The delivery driver reported that McKeever became irate and was yelling and screaming about the delivery taking too long. McKeever followed the delivery driver back to his parked Honda Civic while holding the food. 

As the delivery driver began driving away, McKeever fired a shot at the vehicle. The bullet penetrated the vehicle near the rear window, shattering the glass and sending debris and metal fragments into the delivery driver’s hair. The victim was not injured and managed to pull away safely to call 911.  

Investigators recovered bullet fragments from the victim's hair that matched the polygonal rifling characteristic of an H&K 9mm handgun seized from McKeever's residence during a search warrant executed by state police. 

Deputy District Attorney Monica W. Furber, who prosecuted the case, emphasized the sheer danger of the “unprovoked and violent attack,” noting how fortunate it was that the victim escaped severe physical injury. She said a projectile was later discovered embedded directly in the victim's hoodie. 

“This was a completely unprovoked and terrifying act of violence against a young man who was simply doing his job," said District Attorney Joe Khan. “No one working in our community should ever have to fear for their life while trying to earn an honest living. This sentence sends a clear message that violent, reckless behavior with a firearm will not be tolerated in Bucks County.”  

The case was investigated by Trooper Corey A. Chapin of the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M (Dublin Station), and prosecuted by the Deputy District Attorney Monica W. Furber.
