Montgomery County Man Sentenced to 5 to 10 Years for Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

A North Wales man was sentenced on Tuesday to 5 to 10 years in state prison for attempting to meet a 13-year-old girl for a sexual encounter in Bensalem Township.

Pawol Piotr Sudol, 45, pleaded guilty in March to felony counts of attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, attempted statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault.

The sentencing was handed down by Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr, who also ordered that the defendant follow all sex offender conditions.

“This result is another example of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force model working effectively. The predatory and calculated behavior displayed by this defendant is exactly why police work tirelessly to intercept these individuals before they can do irreparable harm,” District Attorney Joe Khan said. “I want to praise the work of the Bensalem Township Police Department and Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy for ensuring that this individual is off our streets and held fully accountable.”

The investigation began after Sudol initiated contact with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female victim over a social media and dating application in September 2025. Over several weeks, Sudol used text messaging to explicitly communicate his intentions to travel to her residence to engage in sexual acts.

Pawel Sudol planned a meeting after he left his job on Oct. 7.  He drove from his home in North Wales and bought flowers at a Giant Supermarket. Sudol arrived at meeting location with the flowers, but he quickly fled the scene under the suspicion that the meetup was a trap and that someone was watching him from another vehicle.

Following an investigation by Bensalem Township Detectives, who operate in conjunction with the FBI Child Exploitation & Human Trafficking Task Force and the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, charges were filed on Oct. 29. Sudol has been in custody since his arrest on Nov. 3.

“Our department remains committed to protecting our children by proactively identifying and removing child predators from our community,” said Bensalem Township Director of Public Safety William McVey. “We commend the outstanding work of our detectives and the Bucks County District Attorney's Office in securing this successful prosecution and sentence.”

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy.
