A Philadelphia man is charged with drug delivery resulting in death in the fatal fentanyl overdose of a man in Warminster.
Nicholas Silvidio, 27, of the 1200 block of Bridge Street, was arrested Friday and arraigned by District Judge Daniel Baranoski. Silvidio was jailed in lieu of bail set at 10 percent of $75,000.
Charges against Silvidio come as the result of a Warminster Township Police Department investigation into the death of 24-year-old Nicholas Hernandez, whose body was found March 29 in the presence of drug paraphernalia inside his East Street Road residence.
A search of Hernandez’s cellphone revealed text messages in which Silvidio arranged to sell the man heroin.
“This stuff is not as strong as the last stuff, but it’s still pretty strong so be careful,” Silvidio wrote, according to an affidavit of probable cause. “I’m just gonna drop it off and go. I’m not gonna hang out like last time so make sure you don’t die.”
In addition to drug delivery resulting in death, Silvidio also faces counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person.
This case was investigated by the Warminster Township Police Department and is assigned for prosecution to Assistant District Attorney Megan K. Stricker.
