Recently, Officer McHenry was invited to Tohickon Middle School by Kira Sutton, a member of the Cheer Team, to educate on leadership and mental awareness. Officer McHenry also trained the cheer squad in self-defense. Kira turned her idea into action with "AthLeader" which aims to spread confidence and resilience as peers transform from overwhelmed athletes into leaders under pressure. Kira believes confident leaders empower others and that teaching peers to speak up, stand their ground, and act on instinct will improve self-perception and peer communication. Her message: "Let's put our phones down and talk". 

A huge shoutout to Kira for boldly supporting her teammates and paving a path for future students. Officer McHenry was thrilled to be able to participate with the cheer squad!
