Buckingham Township Police Department would like to extend a warm welcome to three new officers, who have joined our team to serve and protect the community. Their dedication to public safety and commitment to excellence will undoubtedly make a positive impact in our township. Officer Emma Reese graduated from the Allentown Police Academy on December 12, 2025 and was awarded the Tracy Szoke memorial 110% effort award. Officer Courtney Truppay joined us from Pennridge Regional Police Department. During her time at PRPD, she assisted the Bucks County Detectives with a narcotic investigation which resulted in a death investigation and prosecution. Officer Mohammed Elsayed joined us from Bristol Boro Police Department where he was recognized for being a top performing patrol officer and was assigned as a School Resource Officer.
In addition, we are proud to announce the promotion of Sergeant Hazelett to Lieutenant. This well-deserved recognition is a testament to his hard work, leadership skills, and unwavering dedication to the department and the community. Lieutenant Hazelett joined BTPD in 2017. He was promoted to Corporal in 2019 and again in 2022 to the rank of Sergeant. He is a graduate from the PSP Leadership Development Program as well as Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.
We are confident that these new officers and promotion will enhance our ability to provide exceptional service to the residents of Buckingham Township. Please join us in congratulating our new officers and Lieutenant on their new roles.
