An update to the post from 2/28/23 "Lawndale Road Crash and Speed Analysis". The borough crew has painted VASCAR lines on Lawndale Rd. in the area of Valley Rd.  The distance between these two lines are known, they are used to determine the speed of vehicles passing between the lines.  More work is planned to notify drivers of the speed limit in this area in the form of markings on the roadway and additional signage.  Officers have already issued several citations for violations in the area.  Those that travel through all areas of the borough, we ask that you follow all the rules of the road, don't drive distracted, and watch out for bicyclists and pedestrians; so that everyone utilizing these roads are safe.
