Once again, the Spring Township Police Department, West Reading Police Department, and Wyomissing Police Department are joining together to host a Citizen Police Academy.

The academy begins September 29, 2026, and provides residents with an opportunity to learn more about local law enforcement, gain insight into police operations, and develop a better understanding of the work performed by the officers who serve our communities.

Application Deadline: September 22, 2026

Participants must be a resident of Spring Township, West Reading Borough, or Wyomissing Borough.

Applications can be picked up at any of the participating police departments or accessed through the Wyomissing Police Department Crimewatch page.

We encourage interested residents to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about their local police departments, meet the officers who serve their communities, and gain a firsthand look at the many aspects of law enforcement.
