Myrtle Avenue Neighborhood will experience ongoing gas line replacements and tie-ins by NPL, a subcontractor for Columbia Gas. To facilitate this work, road closures and lane restrictions will be implemented, with flaggers and police present to ensure access and traffic flow.

Killarney Road and Sixth Street will also see continued work by NPL. A section of Killarney Road will be CLOSED at the tunnel from 7pm to 6am, Monday through Thursday, September 28 to October 1 and October 5 to 8, 2026, to allow for drilling under the roadway. Police and flaggers will direct traffic, which will be rerouted via southbound Route 88 to Grove, Sleepy Hollow, Columbia, Maplewood, Larch, Rolling Rock, Newport, Wabash, and northbound McNeilly, Pearce, Highview, Kerry Hill, and Glen Shannon.

The Library Road resurfacing project, led by PennDOT and Mele and Mele, will continue with overnight work to complete shoulder repairs, guide rail installation, and lane markings.

Remember to exercise caution when driving through work zones and, if possible, avoid these areas altogether.
