The Castle Shannon Police Department is proud to partner with the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department to host a Community Educational Night, focusing on Active Shooter preparedness and response.

 

This informative event will feature presentations from representatives of the Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI-Pittsburgh Field Office.

The evening aims to educate and empower residents, business owners, employers, and employees on vital safety precautions and preparation strategies.

 

Join us on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm) at the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department, located at 3600 Library Rd, Castle Shannon, PA 15234.

 

To get a head start, prospective attendees can take a 1-hour online course from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at IS-907a - Active Shooter: What You Can Do.
