On August 31, 2025, at approximately noon, members of the Brighton Police Department responded to East Henrietta Road and Crittenden Road for a reported motor vehicle crash.

An investigation revealed that a motorcycle traveling southbound on East Henrietta Road struck a northbound vehicle attempting to turn left onto Crittenden Road. The operator of the motorcycle was identified as Lex T. Baker, 20 years of age, from Little River, South Carolina. Despite lifesaving measures by the New York State Police, Brighton Police, and Henrietta Fire, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the motorcycle's speed was a factor in the crash. At this point, no criminal charges are pending.

Brighton Police were assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Henrietta Fire Department, and the Brighton Volunteer Ambulance.
