
Uptick in Vehicle Break-Ins Leads to Arrests & Multiple Case Clearances
Thomasville officers have recently seen an increase in vehicle break-ins throughout the city. Thanks to swift investigative work by our patrol officers and detectives, several cases have now been cleared with multiple arrests. Law enforcement recovered approximately $9,000 in stolen property, which has since been returned to the victims.
Arrest in Unity Street / Trinity Street Cases
Detectives have charged Meleke Green, 30, of Dedmond Court, Thomasville, in connection with 14 vehicle break-ins that occurred in the Unity Street and Trinity Street area during the first two weeks of November.
Green faces the following charges:
• 12 counts – Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle with Theft
• 1 count – Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle
• 2 counts – Financial Transaction Card Theft
• 3 counts – Financial Transaction Card Fraud
• 1 count – Injury to Personal Property
• 1 count – Possession of Firearm by a Felon
• 1 count – Attempted Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle
• 1 count – Tampering with a Motor Vehicle
• 1 count – Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Green was taken into custody by Thomasville officers on November 9 and transported to the Davidson County Jail, where he remains held under a $79,500 secured bond.

Charges Filed Against 16-Year-Old Juvenile
Detectives have also charged a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with vehicle break-ins that occurred in the Salem Street and W. Holly Hill Road area in early November.
The juvenile has been charged with:
• 1 count – Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle with Theft
• 2 counts – Attempted Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle
A stolen firearm involved in this case was recovered. A juvenile petition has been filed with Davidson County Juvenile Justice.

Two 15-Year-Old Juveniles Charged in October 21 Vehicle Break-Ins
Two 15-year-old juveniles have also been charged in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred on October 21, 2025, in the area of Thomasville High Drive and Unity Street.
Charges include:
• 5 counts – Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle with Theft
• 2 counts – Financial Transaction Card Theft
One of those juveniles was additionally charged with resist, delay, and obstruct.
