Through a partnership with the city's Parks and Recreation Department, the 'Cops and Kids Coming Together' program is designed to provide young citizens with an inside look at law enforcement. The purpose of the Cops and Kids program is to increase understanding between young citizens through education and interaction with members of the Thomasville Police Department. The Cops and Kids gives young citizens a renewed perspective of the practices of law enforcement while also serving as a foundation for creating long lasting relationships with our city's youth. The Cops and Kids is presented to campers one day a week for a total of nine weeks. Classroom presentations are combined with hands-on exposure to provide participants with a well-rounded experience.
