Tyler Scott Hawkins, 26, a registered sex offender out of DeLand, is now behind bars thanks to YOU.

 

Hawkins skipped town in August without registering his new address, as required by law. A warrant went out. He vanished.

 

Then we posted him on our Wanted Wednesday segment and our community showed up. Tips poured in pointing detectives all the way to Muskegon, Michigan.

DeLand detectives teamed up with Muskegon Township Police, ran down the leads, and on Wednesday, September 9, Hawkins was taken into custody.
