Police have identified the driver killed early Sunday after their vehicle struck a tree.

Gabrielle Burns, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday morning.

A preliminary investigation by police found that around 1:58 a.m. Sunday Burns blue Acura passenger car was travelling east on East Taylor Road approaching Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway when Burns for unknown reasons left the roadway and impacted a tree at the entrance of Victoria Gardens.
