UPDATE 11/5/2025: After extensive investigation into the deaths of Scott Waldron, 49 and Padmini Waldron, 47, at 9097 Cape Cod Road, DeLand, FL the DeLand Police Department Criminal Investigation Division has concluded that this was a case of murder-suicide. In this incident it has been concluded that Scott Waldron shot and killed his wife Padmini Waldron and then took his own life. The Waldron’s had been married 12 years. Scott Waldron was a Probation Officer and used his duty weapon in the commission of this incident. Next of kin have been notified.

Original story: DeLand, Fl - On November 1, 2025 at approximately 11:06 am, officers with the Deland Police Department responded to a home on Cape Cod Road, DeLand, Florida in reference to a report of a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, officers were informed that two individuals had been found unresponsive. Officers entered the home and discovered a deceased male, later identified as Scott Waldron, 49 and a deceased female, identified as Padmini Waldron, 47. 

The DeLand Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has assumed the investigation, and it remains active.
