DeLand, FL - The DeLand Police Department, in conjunction with the Department of Corrections (DOC), initiated a search of a home on W. Minnesota at approximately 11 a.m. Monday morning.
On Feb. 12, 2025, MYRON FEASEL, 49, was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of amphetamine with intent to sell, possession of a short-barreled rifle, and obstructing an officer without violence following community tips and a search of the home. He is currently serving probation for those charges.
“Listening to our community is critical,” said Captain Dice, DeLand Police Department. “Having a good relationship with community members so they trust the Police enough to report criminal activity is the key to keeping our city safe.”
On April 20, 2026, a search was executed after DOC received new tips that illegal activity was happening on the property that violates the terms of his probation. The DOC Probation Officers searched the residence and noted violations. The Deland Police Department Criminal Investigations Division obtained a search warrant from the State Attorney’s Office and executed it Monday morning.
FEASEL was detained and arrested for the following charges:
- VIOLATION PROBATION/COM.CONTROL-FELONY X2
- TRAFFICKING IN FENTANYL (4 GRAMS TO <14 GRAMS
- POSS. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE W/O PRESCRIPTION X2
- POSS. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
