It was a Monday night in April 2002. Cawana Lashay Logan, 18, left her home around 10 p.m. and was never seen again. Within days, her purse and personal belongings turned up near the intersection of Voorhis Ave. and Delaware Ave. A neighbor who lived in the area where her belongings were found reported hearing what they believed was a woman screaming that night.

 

DeLand Police believe foul play was involved in Cawana's disappearance.

 

Now, more than 20 years later, investigators have heard rumors that the person responsible may no longer be alive. If true, we hope some may feel more comfortable coming forward to tell us what they know. 

 

Someone out there holds the key to understanding what happened on that street that night. If you know anything at all, even something you've carried for years and weren't sure mattered, please reach out.
