LRPD is investigating a "quick change" theft that occurred at Weis Markets in Old Lycoming Township on December 03, 2023 around 8:20PM.  A quick change scam happens when a person comes into a store to buy something seemingly small and inexpensive, but purchases that product with a large bill. Because the bill is large, the buyer will confuse the cashier with several cash exchanges, resulting in the scammer making off with more money than they initially entered the store with.  The suspect is described as a black male wearing a gray colored Carhartt hoodie with "Carhartt" on the sleeve, maroon hat, black colored Carhartt bib overalls.  The suspect was operating a dark colored vehicle, possibly an older model Cadillac.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Brandy Perchinski at 570-323-4987x470 or SUBMIT A TIP.
