On 8/22/18 at approximately 2:45pm the Columbia Borough Police Department was dispatched to the 1400 Block of Ironville Pike for a vehicle break-in not in progress. Upon arrival the Officer was directed toward a 2008 Toyota Tacoma, plate no. ZFL-1383 which he said was broken into over night. Items in the vehicle had been gone through and scattered around the vehicle. The owner of he vehicle stated that nothing appeared to be missing. The Officer observed marks above the driver side door frame and the interior weather insulation was damaged. The Unlock button inside the vehicle was also scratched. The owner stated that the damage to the vehicle happened sometime between 2:00am and 2:45pm. The victims mother stated tat her vehicle was also entered and some of the contents were looked through. Her vehicle, a 2000 Subaru Outback, plate no. FJF-2734, and had been parked directly in front of her Son's vehicle. Her vehicle was not locked and nothing appeared to be missing.
