The Ephrata Police Department charged John Bryson III, 59, of Ephrata, with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)(M).  On 09/05/2026 at 3:39 p.m, Ephrata Police Officers were watching a residence in the 1000 Blk. of Henn Avenue, Ephrata that was known to have wanted subjects staying there. Officers observed John Bryson III at the residence, and he was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. During search of Bryson III, he was found to have Methamphetamine in his sweatpants pocket. Bryson III was transported to the Ephrata Police Station and later released to the custody of the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. Charges were filed on 09/08/2026 through MDJ Bearinger's Office.

Bryson III is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
