Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 199 incidents during the week of August 30th to September 5th, 2026. A total of 61 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
DUI Investigation: A Pennridge Regional Police Department officer stopped a white Chevrolet pick up truck after observing the vehicle swerving in and out of its lane. The officer spoke with the driver and signs of intoxication were observed. The driver performed field sobriety tests and was taken to St. Lukes Grand View Hospital for a blood draw. Criminal charges are pending the result of laboratory testing.
Simple Assault Investigation: Officers were dispatched to St. Lukes Penn Foundation for a report of two patients fighting. Upon arrival officers located staff who reported that two patients were shoved and struck each other following an argument in their room. Both parties were separated and no criminal charges were filed.
Theft Investigation: Police were contacted by a business owner regarding a theft of services. The business owner reported that their business repaired a truck on the side of the road and never received payment. Police are still currently investigating, and criminal charges are pending.
DUI Investigation: On September 5th, 2026, a vehicle stop was conducted on a gray Hyundai in the 1400 block of Bethlehem Pike for vehicle equipment violations. During the course of the vehicle stop it was determined that the male operator exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. Criminal charges to be filed when laboratory tests return.
Suspicious Activity: Police responded to the Three Mile Run boat launch for a report of two suspicious vans and a male walking around the parking lot. The caller, a kayaker, reported that the vans and male walking in the lot made them feel uncomfortable and would like police to check the area. When an officer arrived, they checked the area and advised the kayaker that there was no problems or concerns observed.
ARRESTS
Warrant Service: Officers assisted Philadelphia Police by serving an arrest warrant on a 40-year-old female resident of Philadelphia. The female was staying at St. Lukes Penn Foundation and was taken into custody there. She was transferred to Philadelphia Police for arraignment.
Violation of a Protection from Abuse Order: An arrest warrant was issued for a 52-year-old male resident of Hatfield following him contacting the plaintiff of a protection from abuse order. The male turned himself into police and was arraigned by the district magistrate and released on unsecured bail.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
September 3rd, 2026:
A Subaru Forrester and a Toyota Corolla were involved in a traffic accident at the intersection of Rt. 313 and Three Mile Run Road. Upon investigation by police, it was determined that the Subaru struck the Corolla as it was stopped behind another vehicle waiting to make a turn. Minor injuries were reported and the vehicles were towed from the scene.
A Honda CRV left the roadway and struck the embankment on Lawn Ave. and Rt. 309. The driver reported that heavy rains contributed to the crash. No injuries were reported.
A one vehicle traffic crash occurred on Ridge Valley Road in the area of Gameland Road when it struck a large tree that was in the roadway. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene, but no injuries were reported.
September 4th, 2026:
A Chevrolet Pick up truck was struck by a falling tree branch as it traveled on Three Mile Run Road and Schoolhouse Road. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained non-disabling damage.
At the intersection of Rt. 309 and Lawn Ave., a Kia Forte was struck by a Honda minivan that was turning left from the on ramp onto Lawn Ave. A witness reported to police that the Kia ran the red traffic signal, resulting in the traffic crash. Minor injuries were reported and the Kia was towed from the scene.
September 5th, 2026: A Subaru Impreza was traveling on Forrest Road in the area of Mountain View Road when it left the roadway and struck a large boulder along the roadway. The driver, after striking the boulder attempted to leave the crash scene but the vehicle became disabled. After the vehicle became disabled the driver left the scene, without calling police. Police were able to identify the driver, who stated they swerved to avoid deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene. The driver was issued two traffic citations.
