The Ephrata Police Department recently charged Patrick McTighe, 51, of Ephrata, for Driving under the influence of alcohol-General impairment. On 07/02/2026 at 8:52 p.m., an Ephrata Police Officer came upon a three (3) vehicle collision in the area of S. State Street and Parkview Heights Road, Ephrata Borough. During the investigation of the collision, the officer determined that the at fault driver, McTighe displayed signs of impairment. McTighe was arrested and ultimately refused to submit to a chemical test of breath. On 07/13/2026, charges were filed through MDJ Landis' office. 

McTighe is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
