North Charleston Police Department detectives (NCPD) on Wednesday arrested a suspect in connection with an overnight homicide at Spivey's Mobile Home Park.

On Stall Rd, near a field, a shooting incident was reported to NCPD at around 12:57am. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Within hours, a subject was in custody. This morning, an 18-year-old individual, Miguel Ortiz Boyd, surrendered to authorities. Boyd is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Boyd was lodged at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
