The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) invites the public to a demonstration of our Drone as First Responder (DFR) program.

The city and the department are exploring the capabilities of a DFR program and how it can enhance municipal operations, public safety, and asset management. These demonstrations will provide an overview of the technology, operational benefits associated with the drone program, and detail potential applications for citywide use.

Skydio DFR is an autonomous drone solution that allows agencies to deploy drones rapidly to provide real-time aerial awareness. The program can support emergency response, infrastructure inspections after a severe weather event, situational awareness, and asset monitoring while reducing response times and improving operational efficiency.
