POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 6/19/26 THRU 6/30/26

RETAIL THEFT: On 6-19-26 police received a retail theft report from Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, that occurred 6-12-26 at 1136 hrs.  An unidentified female entered the store with a large bag, placed several packages of meat in the bag and left the store without making payment. The female entered the store ten minutes later and did the same thing.  Total estimated value of loss $230.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 6-19-26 at 2109 hrs, police responded to the 400 block of Rohrerstown Rd for a 2-vehicle crash.  Following investigation, Shalavia Judene Gibbons (34) of Wrightsville was taken into custody, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance-2nd Offense (M), Accident Involving Personal Injury-Not Properly Licensed (M2), Tamper with Evidence (M2), False Report (M2), Possess Controlled Substance (M), Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia (M), and Possession of Marijuana (M).  Gibbons was transported to Lancaster County Prison.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 6-20-26 police responded to the 100 block of Spring Cir for a vandalism report. Sometime between 6-19-26 at 2200 hrs and 6-20-26 at 1035 hrs, actor(s) punctured four tires on a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $400.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 6-21-26 at 0157 hrs, police conducted a traffic stop on Route 283 East off-ramp to Rohrerstown Rd.  Following investigation, Brent Andrew McDowell (33) of Lancaster was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-2nd Offense (M).

NEGLECT OF ANIMALS: On 6-21-26 at 1020 hrs, police responded to Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd, for a dog in a crate locked in a vehicle with the windows cracked and the dog visibly in distress.  Police were able to access the vehicle, remove the dog and provide water and shade. The vehicle owner, Joel M Kasak (46) of Doylestown was cited with Neglect of Animals-Sustenance/Water (S).

THEFT: On 6-22-26 a 16-year-old male juvenile of Lancaster was charged with Theft (M1) and Receiving Stolen Property (M1).  On 6-14-26 the juvenile allegedly stole a GT Pro Series bicycle from the Landisville Pool with an estimated value of $649.95.  On 6-15-26 police were advised that a mountain bike, with an estimated value of $300.00, missing from the 3700 block of Jonas Dr was listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace at an address in the township.  Both bicycles were recovered at this location.

FORGERY: On 6-23-26 Rey Javier Ortiz (57) of Lancaster was charged with Forgery (F3), Theft by Deception (F3) and Access Device Fraud (F3), stemming from an incident 12-18-24 at Truist Bank, 270 Good Dr.  Ortiz allegedly attempted to cash two stolen checks that he made out to himself in the total of $8,000.00.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 6-24-26 at 1951 hrs, police responded to Route 30 West in the area of Rohrerstown Rd for a hit and run crash.  The fleeing vehicle was followed to the parking lot of Bob Evans, 3000 Hempland Rd, by a witness.  Following investigation, Brynn Marie Remsburg (41) of New Holland was charged with (2) counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M), Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3) and a summary traffic violation.

HARASSMENT: On 6-24-26 at 2218 hrs, police responded to the 2700 block of Columbia Ave for a disturbance in progress.  Following investigation, Chassidy N Sowersby (33) of Lancaster was charged with Harassment (S).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 6-25-26 Charles Brian Herman (65) of Lancaster was charged with Criminal Mischief (M2), stemming from an incident 6-3-26 in the 2600 block of Paddock Ln.  Herman allegedly sprayed a yard with a bottle of weed spray.  Total estimated value of loss $3,050.04.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 6-26-26 at 2229 hrs, police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Centerville Rd.  Following investigation, Noah Michael Gerrity (29) of Scranton was charged with Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (M), Possess Marijuana (M), Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia and a summary traffic violation. 

DEFIANT CRIMINAL TRESPASS: On 6-28-26 at 0820 hrs, police conducted a premise check at Community Aid, 31 Rohrerstown Rd.  Tammy L Davis (57) of Manchester Township, NJ was found to be on the platform behind the dumpsters where it is clearly posted no trespassing.  Davis was cited with Defiant Criminal Trespass (S).

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 6-29-26 at 0135 hrs, police responded to the 2500 block of Standardbred Dr for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, James P Maley (63) of Lancaster was taken into custody, charged with Simple Assault (M1) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

THEFT: On 6-30-26 police received a theft report that occurred 6-29-26 at the intersection of Snapper Dam Rd and Nolt Rd.  Sometime between 1630 hrs and 1700 hrs, actor(s) took a Diamondback Mountain Bike valued at approximately $100.00.
