Commonwealth v. Samantha Pack: Samantha Pack was sentenced to serve six years to twelve years in a state correctional facility, to be followed by three years of consecutive probation supervision. Samantha Pack plead Guilty to 6 charges on April 30th, 2026. Pack was sentenced on June 30th, 2026. The charges are as follows;
The charges stem from the death of Ronald Martin on or about December 27th, 2024, at approximately 1:05pm in Silver Spring Township Cumberland County Pa. Police were called after the victim did not report for work and was found deceased by his landlord. Through video surveillance, Silver Spring Township Police were able to identity Samantha Pack as the last person with the victim. Detective Cody Phillips uncovered evidence that showed Pack had obtained Metonitazene, Xylazine, Fentanyl, and other drugs from Harrisburg, PA, and delivered them to the victim. She then watched him consume a small portion of the drugs and begin to suffer from an overdose. Despite his obvious state of distress, Pack left the victim alone and took his cell phone.
Police located witnesses that Pack called shortly after leaving the victim, those witnesses advised Pack to obtain Narcan or call for help, but Pack failed to render aid in any way, despite her prior training and employment as an overdose recovery specialist. After an autopsy was conducted, it was determined the cause of death was due to Metonltazene, Protonitazene, Xylazine, and Doxylamine Toxicity.
"What is especially egregious in this case was the defendant's prior training and employment as an overdose recovery specialist, and what could only have been for her own selfish reasons, she left Ronald Martin to die." -District Attorney Seán M. McCormack
I want to especially thank Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Robinson who prosecuted this case, and Detective Cody Phillips and the Silver Spring Township Police Department who investigated this case. Their thorough investigation and hard work enabled us to hold this defendant responsible for not only her delivery of a fatal dose of controlled substances, but also her complete failure to provide any help whatsoever to Ronald Martin when he overdosed on those very same drugs.
