The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) arrested a Summerville man Thursday evening after he allegedly returned to an apartment complex where he had been harassing two residents.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 8700 block of Evangeline Drive following reports that 21-year-old Kevin William Interdonati Parsells Jr. was once again banging on a victim's apartment door. Police said officers had already been alerted to Parsells' description and vehicle because he had allegedly harassed the victims the previous day and threatened to kill one of them.
As officers entered the apartment complex, Parsells allegedly attempted to flee after spotting a marked patrol vehicle. An officer stopped him at the entrance to the complex.
According to one of the victims, Parsells knocked on the apartment door while pretending to be a missionary. The victim said Parsells asked if they wanted to talk about Jesus Christ, their Lord and Savior. When the victim opened the door, they were allegedly confronted by Parsells, who rushed toward the entrance. The victim slammed the door shut before Parsells could enter.
The victim told officers that Parsells then tried to open the door and repeatedly banged and kicked it, leaving two small dents. While one victim called 911, the other attempted to keep Parsells occupied until officers arrived. Fearing for their safety, one victim armed themselves with a knife while waiting for police.
The second victim provided officers with a similar account of the incident.
Parsells was charged with two counts of First-Degree Harassment and transported to the Dorchester County Detention Center.
