Officers with the North Charleston Police Department's (NCPD) Central Evenings Team 1 arrested a Goose Creek man Friday evening on firearm-related charges following a disturbance at a local restaurant.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to Buffalo Wild Wings on Centre Pointe Drive after receiving a report that a man had allegedly pulled a handgun on another individual inside the restaurant.
Responding officers obtained a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle. While searching the area, an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description on Montague Avenue leaving the vicinity of the incident. The officer followed the vehicle and coordinated with additional units as it traveled toward Park Circle.
Police conducted a high-risk traffic stop at the intersection of North Rhett Avenue and Marquis Road. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Tarrance Major of Goose Creek, was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers located a handgun inside Major’s vehicle. He was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Pointing and Presenting.
Major was transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center, where he was booked on the charges.
