Thank you crossing guards!

THANK YOU TO OUR AWESOME CROSSING GUARDS!

The Nether Providence Township Police Department joins many in our community thanking the school crossing guards for their service this year.
Chief David Splain recognizes the crucial role each school crossing guard plays in our community. Today he wanted to single out each guard by name and post: Jacque Knight at  Providence and East Possum Hollow roads; Joyce Taylor at Moore Road and Media Parkway; Elizabeth Bagley at Nether Providence Elementary School; Ginny Burbage at Kershaw Lane and Brookhaven Road; Judy Copple at Wallingford Elementary School; Steven Hall at  Brookhaven and Providence roads; and alternate Joanne Moore, who is ready to step in whenever and wherever needed.
“Our crossing guards become familiar faces. They build relationships with our children and their families,” said Chief Splain. “Thank you for a safe, wonderful year. Enjoy your summer break. We look forward to seeing you back at your posts in a few months.”
This photo by Miss Jacque captures her last day.
“I was truly blown away. The personal, handwritten notes from the kids are precious,” she said. “I love this job and I am already looking forward to school starting.”
