Three Arrested Following Multi-Agency Burglary Investigation
On June 17, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m., detectives from multiple law enforcement agencies, working in conjunction with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), executed three simultaneous search warrants at the following locations:
The warrants were obtained as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of 11 commercial burglaries that occurred between February and May 2026 across 10 jurisdictions. The targeted businesses included convenience stores and Hispanic-owned markets known to contain ATMs and maintain significant amounts of cash in safes.
Investigators identified multiple suspects believed to be responsible for the burglaries, which resulted in an estimated total loss of approximately $100,000.
As a result of the coordinated operation, three individuals were taken into custody:
One of the burglaries under investigation occurred on May 3, 2026, at El Chavo, located at 4222 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. During that incident, approximately $9,200 was reported stolen.
Our agency has charged all three suspects with Burglary, Second Degree, and Grand Larceny. Additional charges may be forthcoming as investigators continue reviewing evidence and coordinating cases among the involved jurisdictions.
This investigation remains ongoing.
