Today, the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) honored Lt. Fred Hoose as he retires after 27 years of dedicated service with our agency and more than 34 years overall in law enforcement.

In his farewell remarks, Lt. Hoose chose not to focus on his own accomplishments. Instead, he took the opportunity to recognize the officers, civilian staff, and family members who supported him throughout his career and contributed to his success.

Lt. Hoose, we thank you for your years of service, leadership, and commitment to our community. On behalf of the entire agency, we wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life.
