On April 30, 2026 into the early morning hours of May 1, 2026, officers of the Williamsport Bureau of Police responded to multiple shots fired calls in various locations throughout the city.
The initial call was reported at 10:59 pm in the 1500 block of Memorial Ave, where officers located multiple 9mm casings. Witnesses described several vehicles fleeing the area following the shots. Fortunately, no victims have been reported at this time.
Additional shots fired calls were received near High St and Hepburn St, Ames Pl and the Memorial Bridge, the 1400 block of Bloomingrove Rd, and the 900 block of Railway St. The Williamsport Bureau of Police is seeking information from the public regarding these incidents.

Additionally, residents with residential security cameras or Ring cameras in the areas of the listed locations are urged to review their footage from 11:30 pm to 3:00 am for any evidence of these incidents. The police are particularly interested in information related to the shots fired calls between the 1400 block of Bloomingrove Rd and the 900 block of Railway St.
