On March 24, 2026, a Cumberland County jury found Tennisha L. Walker GUILTY of Intercept Communications (Title 18, Section 5703(1)), a Felony of the Third degree. The jury reached the verdict after a two-day jury trial presided over by Judge Christylee L. Peck.
The charge stemmed from an incident one year prior to trial. On March 24, 2025, the Victim in the case, who resided in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County on that date, received repeated phone calls and text messages from an unknown number during the early morning hours. The Defendant recorded a phone call between the Defendant and Victim without the Victim’s consent later that same day. The recording created by the Defendant was played for the jury during the trial.
The jury deliberated less than an hour before returning a GUILTY verdict. Judge Peck ordered the Defendant to have no contact with the Victim or the Victim’s family members pending sentencing, which is set for May 26, 2026.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Joseph O’Donnell and charged by Officer Stephen Ruff of the East Pennsboro Township Police.
