This week, Chief Camacho recognized several officers and civilian personnel for their outstanding efforts in making the department’s first Open House at the Training Center on January 28 a tremendous success.
The Chief emphasized that the event required extensive planning, coordination, and collaboration—both internally across divisions and externally with valued community partners. He noted that the open house was a direct reflection of the hard work, professionalism, and dedication that the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) strives to exemplify each day.
The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from community members and attendees, reinforcing the importance of transparency, accountability, and meaningful engagement. Most importantly, the Chief highlighted that the open house advanced the department’s community policing mission by strengthening relationships and building trust with the residents NCPD serves.
To show his appreciation, Chief Camacho presented “Coins of Excellence” to the officers and civilians whose commitment ensured the event’s success from start to finish.
Great job to everyone involved!
