Ephrata Police recently charged Victor Gonzalez, 66, of Ephrata with Public Drunkenness (S).  On January 8, 2026 at 3:14 p.m., Gonzalez was found on the steps to the Lancaster Farming Business showing signs of impairment.  Gonzalez was unable to stand on his feet, he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanated from his person, and he admitted to drinking alcohol at his residence before walking to the business district in town.  Gonzalez was transported to WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital where he received treatment for his intoxication.  Gonzalez is presumed innocent.
