MORELAND AVE BRIDGE CLOSURE -- ZERO TOLERANCE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT
The contractor, H&K Group, is expected to post the PennDOT approved detour for the project on January 12, 2026. Demolition of the bridge is expected to begin shortly thereafter.
Once demolition begins, the bridge will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians at that time and remain in place through the completion of the project. Additional details regarding the project site and detour can be see on the attached PDF's below. The project is expected to be completed in December 2027.
FAIR WARNING TO MOTORISTS : The Hatboro Police Department will be conducting targeted speed and stop sign enforcement is the neighborhoods surrounding the bridge project. It is in your best interest to follow the PennDOT approved Detour which is attached. Should you choose to cut thru residential neighborhoods and speed, fail to stop at a stop sign or drive in an unsafe manner.....
......you will quickly find out a traffic citation in Pennsylvania will cost you around 170 big ones. NO WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED.
