A 45-year-old man who fled the country after being charged with sexually assaulting three girls in Warminster Township has been returned to Bucks County to face charges, District Attorney Jennifer Schorn announced.
Noel Angel Yanes, of Norristown Road, Warminster Township, was arrested in El Salvador on January 8, 2025, and extradited to the United States on Wednesday night. Yanes initially fled the country after charges were filed in February 2024.
He was arraigned early Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Maggie Snow and was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility under $500,000 bail, 10 percent.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn emphasized the commitment of law enforcement in a joint statement:
“The capture and return of Noel Angel Yanes is a testament to the relentless pursuit of justice by all agencies involved. To those who commit crimes against the most vulnerable and believe they can evade accountability by fleeing across borders, this should serve as a clear message: you will be found, apprehended, and brought back to face the consequences of your actions.”
Yanes is charged with seven counts each of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault. He is also charged with an additional two counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault, and three counts of corruption of minors.
The charges were filed by Warminster Township Detective Stephen Wojciechowski.
The investigation began after reports were made to Warminster Police that Yanes had sexually assaulted three juveniles.
The investigation revealed allegations from the three victims:
In addition to the Warminster Township Police Department, the Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force provided critical assistance in the capture and return of Yanes.
