On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 1814 hours, the Ephrata Police were dispatched to Walmart, 890 E. Main St., Ephrata Township for a shoplifter in progress.  Walmart Loss Prevention advised that Taylor Shelley, 26, of Lititz, did conceal candy and books, valued at $52.81, in his bag he entered the store with.  Shelley then walked past all points of sale without attempted to pay full retail value of the concealed merchandise.  Shelley was stopped by Walmart Loss Prevention and arrested by the Ephrata Police.  Shelley was transported to the Ephrata Police Department to be processed.  Shelley was issued a summary non-traffic citation for retail theft and released.  Shelley is presumed innocent.
