On November 1, 2025, at approximately 1341 hours Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police was dispatched to the 4000 block of Fawn Drive for a reported stabbing. Officers arrived on scene within one minute and encountered an adult female with stab wounds to her face and abdominal area. The female was transported to a local hospital due to her severe wounds requiring immediate surgery. Officers began an immediate investigation, and a description of the suspect was quickly obtained. A short time later officers encountered the adult male suspect, on foot, in the 4200 block of Valley Road with a large knife in his hand. The officer immediately began issuing verbal commands for the suspect to drop the knife. The male suspect refused to comply with the commands of our uniformed officer, and rapidly advanced toward the officer while raising the knife over his head in an aggressive manner. In fear of death or serious bodily injury, the officer fired his duty weapon, striking the suspect, resulting in his death.
The Dauphin County District Attorney’s office is on scene and investigating. The initial stabbing incident was determined to be the result of domestic violence. There is no public safety threat as a result of this incident.
