Beginning September 3rd through September 18th, 2025, the Summit Police Department will be conducting special patrols to encourage people to watch their speeds and officers will be enforcing speed limit laws.

We urge our community residents and visitors to always follow the posted speed limits.

This additional speed awareness campaign is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal highway safety funds managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
