During the month of November you may see a few of our officers growing a beard. The officers are participating in event called "Beards for Brothers". The officers are doing this as part of "No Shave November" as a campaign to help raise awareness for cancer. This is the 3rd year that a few of the local police departments have participated and the 1st year that Columbia Borough Police were involved in the event. Some of you will remember that the Columbia Borough Police sold pink colored police patches the other year and donated to the cancer society. Officer's still wear the pink patches during the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness.
