DeLand Police are investigating a stabbing that left one man injured. 

Police responded about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday to the 1400 block of North Woodland Boulevard after an apparent disturbance between two men. One person was stabbed in the neck and chest and the suspect fled the scene. The victim was taken by helicopter to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Based on the preliminary investigation, the fight appears to have been between two transients and police are actively attempting to identify the suspect.
