Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 190 incidents during the week of November 10th to November 16th, 2024. A total of 42 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Attempted Fraud: A resident of the 1400 block of Holly Drive reported that they were involved in exchanging crypto currency on a website. The residents provided documentation that their account had been suspended following approximately transactions totaling $220,000.00 and the account is frozen. The resident was unable to access their funds.
Unwanted Person: Officers responded to Grand View Hospital on November 13th, 2024, for a report of a patient who was unhappy with their treatment. The party involved was disruptive and yelling into the cellular phone at an unknown person. After a brief interaction the party left the hospital.
Threats Complaint: Pennridge Regional Police officers were advised of a threat being made on a social media website, where a student expressed displeasure with an active intruder drill at the Pennridge High School. The post indicated an intention to harm students at the school. The incident is still under investigation.
ARRESTS INCIDENTS
Warrant Service: Zachary Winters, 35 of Richlandtown, was taken into custody by Pennridge Regional Police following a traffic crash investigation. Mr. Winters left the scene of the crash that occurred on November 16th, 2024, but was identified as being wanted by Pennsylvania State Police and was transferred to their custody.
Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief Arrest: Christine Poust, 27 of Telford, was issued two non-traffic citations on November 17th, 2024, following a disturbance she caused at Grand View Hospital on November 4, 2024.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
November 11th, 2024: Officers responded to the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike for a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a GMC Acadia and a Lincoln MKZ. The GMC Acadia entered the intersection from Old Bethlehem Pike and struck a Lincoln MKZ as it traveled east on Ridge Road. The operator of the GMC was issued a traffic citation for Duties at a Stop Sign, and no one was injured in the crash.
November 11th, 2024: A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported in the 1300 block of Old Bethlehem Pike. Upon arrival officers found a Toyota Pruis and a Kia Optima had collided after the Kia entered the roadway from a private parking lot resulting in the collision. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and no injuries were reported.
November 11th, 2024: Pennridge Regional Officers responded to the area of Finland Road and Indian Rock Road for a one vehicle traffic accident. Upon arrival and following a brief investigation it was determined that a BMW had driven off the roadway and struck the berm. No injuries were reported.
November 16th, 2024: Officers responded to the area of Green Top Road in the area of Chase St. for a one vehicle traffic accident. Upon arrival officers found a Lincoln Mark II that had left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver complained of minor injuries and was issued a traffic citation for failing to maintain their travel lane.
November 17th, 2024: A one vehicle traffic accident occurred on Rt. 313 in the area of Sterner’s Mill Road, A Ford Tauras had swerved in an attempt to avoid a deer as it crossed the roadway and ended up off the roadway and struck a boulder. No injuries were reported at the scene, the driver of the Ford Tauras issued several traffic citations.
