On 10/14/24 Lycoming Regional Police investigated the intentional damage to highway road signs on Lycoming Creek Rd in the area of 973W, the 4100 Blk of Lycoming Creek Rd, 973E and Rose Valley Rd. From the investigation, a light-colored full-size SUV; possibly a GM product intentionally ran off the road striking many road signs. About 11 signs were destroyed in the stretch of 3 miles or more. The vehicle did deposit some parts along the road, which the investigating Officer retrieved and was able to obtain a vehicle make. The vehicle will have visible damage to the front end, namely the front grill area and front fenders. It is believed, after the sign damage; that the vehicle travelled using Bloomingrove Rd to Log Run Rd. Lycoming Regional Police are asking for assistance from the public to help identify the vehicle and suspect. If you live along any of these roads and have video cameras outside your home, please review them for possible footage of the suspect vehicle.
