The Pennridge Regional Police Department is currently investigating a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that was struck on August 9th, 2024. On August 9th, 2024, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike in front of the White Horse Inn. When officers arrived, they found a white Toyota Camry had struck a pedestrian as they were crossing Ridge Road. The pedestrian received serious injuries and was transported to Grand View Hospital for medical treatment. The operator of the Toyota Camry stopped at the scene and is fully cooperating with the police investigation.
The pedestrian was identified as Peter Gehring, of Sellersville, succumbed to his injuries at Grand View Hospital on August 12th, 2024. The crash is still under investigation by the Pennridge Regional Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Crash Reconstruction unit.
