On June 26 2024 at approximately 1520 hours (3:20 PM) Officers with the Quarryville Police were advised of a suspicious activity in the 10 block of South Hess Street in Quarryville Borough. A resident in the area had discovered their parked vehicle running with the door open.

Upon investigating the incident, it was found that two juveniles, from Quarryville, had attempted to steal the vehicle but were scared off before completing the theft. The juveniles were subsequently identified and charged by Quarryville Police with one count each of felony theft, which were filed with the Lancaster County Office of Juvenile Probation.
