Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 192 incidents during the week of April 28th to May 4th, 2024. A total of 78 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Disturbance: On April 28th, 2024, officers responded to Success Rehabilitation, 5600 Clymer Road, for a disturbance resulting from a patient screaming threats at staff. Upon arrival the situation was already resolved by other staff members. No police involvement was necessary.
DUI Traffic Crash: On April 28th, 2024, officers responded to Old Bethlehem Pike in the area of East Rockhill Road for a one vehicle traffic crash. The operator of the Toyota Highlander ran off the roadway and rolled over onto its side. No injuries were reported, and criminal charges may be filed following the results of a blood test that was conducted on that night.
Disturbance/Unwanted Person: Officers were dispatched to Grand View Hospital on April 28th for a report of a patient’s family member who refused to follow the hospital rules. Upon police arrival it was found that a patient’s family member refused to leave their cellphone in the waiting area outside of the mental health portion of the emergency room. The family member had left before police arrival.
Disturbance: On April 30th, 2024, an employee of Ciocca Collision of Sellersville regarding an ongoing issue involving another employee. There was an allegation of threats made between the employee and a fellow employee after a dispute an over-time off request. No police action was taken.
Fraud: An employee of Pro Com Roofing contacted police on May 1st following the business being contacted regarding fraudulent payments from the business account to a Kohl’s credit card account. Investigation is ongoing.
Attempted Fraud/Scam: On May 1st 2024 a resident of the 4200 block of Axe Handle Road called and spoke to an officer regarding phone calls they received. The phone calls alleged that the resident was being investigated following them committing fraud and theft. The caller requested the resident’s banking information to address the concerns. The resident did not provide any information and terminated the call. No loss was reported by the resident.
Theft: Officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Blooming Glen Road on May 1st, 2024, for a theft in progress. The resident reported that an Amazon package was taken from their porch by a black male wearing black pants and a red sweatshirt. The male ran from the home on foot. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect. The value of the package was under $50.
Harassment: A resident who resides in the 1100 block of Old Bethlehem Pike reported receiving harassing phone calls at their home. The calls are believed to be the result of bullying of the resident’s child at school. Pennridge Regional Police are investigating with assistance from the Pennridge School District Police.
Theft: A resident in the 1000 block of Mountain View Drive reported pm, May 1st, 2024, that an unknown actor removed a Pride flag from her mailbox. The flag is valued at $20, and the incident is ongoing at this time.
DUI Crash: On May 2nd, 2024, Officers responded to the area of Butler Lane and Three Mile Run Road for a one vehicle accident involving a Ram Pickup Truck that left the roadway and hit the embankment. The operator was found to be exhibiting signs of intoxication and was transported to Grand View Hospital for a blood draw. The operator had told police a deer ran out in front causing the vehicle to run off the roadway.
DUI Arrest: On May 2nd, 2024, a Pennridge Regional Police officer stopped a vehicle in the 2400 block of Old Bethlehem Pike for speeding. During the course of the vehicle stop, the operator exhibited signs of intoxication. The operator was transported to Grand View Hospital to have blood drawn to determine their level of intoxication. Charges are pending the results of that blood draw.
Fight/Disorderly Conduct: Police were dispatched to the Penn Foundation, 807 Lawn Ave., on May 4th, 2024, for a report of a fight between residents. Upon arrival the police were advised by staff that the situation was under control and after interviews with all parties involved no charges were filed.
ARRESTS INCIDENTS
Firearms Related Charges: Cody Sebring, 31 of Hatfield, was charged with Criminal Use of a Communication Facility and Possession/Sale of a Prohibited Offensive Weapon. After a lengthy criminal investigation Mr. Sebring was charged with the above crimes after supplying a sawed-off shotgun to another actor. Mr. Sebring has an active arrest warrant for the above charges.
Firearms Related Charges: Jason Matthew Hill, 48 of Hatfield, was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon not allowed to possess, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, and Possession/Sale of a Prohibited Offensive Weapon. After a lengthy criminal investigation Mr. Hill was charged with the above crimes when he was found to be in possession of a sawed-off shotgun that was provided to him by Mr. Cody Sebring. There is an active arrest warrant for Mr. Hill.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
April 28th, 2024: Officers responded to the intersection of Park Ave. and Three Mile Run Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash involving a Chevrolet Malibu and a Subaru Outback. The Malibu failed to enter the intersection safely and was struck by the Subaru. There were minor injuries reported, and traffic citation was issued for Duties at a Stop Sign.
April 30th, 2024: Pennridge Regional Police responded to the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Forrest Road for a three-vehicle traffic crash. Upon investigation it was determined that a Subaru Ascent was struck by a Hyundai as it attempted a left hand turn onto Forrest Road from Bethlehem Pike. After impact the Hyundai struck a Subaru that was stopped at the intersection on Forrest Road. Both operators of the Subaru and Hyundai were transported to the hospital. A traffic citation was issued for vehicles turning left to the operator of the Subaru Ascent.
May 1st, 2024: Bucks County Radio dispatched officers to the intersection of Rt. 313 and Fifth St. for a two-vehicle crash involving two Subaru Outbacks. Upon arrival officers found a white Subaru was turning onto Rt. 313 southbound from the parking lot of B.R. Scholls. A silver Subaru was traveling southbound and struck the white Subaru. Once struck the white Subaru rolled onto its side. No injuries were reported, the operator of the white Subaru was cited for careless driving.
May 2nd, 2024: Pennridge Regional Police responded to the intersection of Ridge Road and Bethlehem Pike for a two-vehicle traffic crash. A Honda Pilot struck a Nissan Pathfinder that was stopped at the intersection. No injuries were reported, and the Honda had to be towed from the scene.
May 2nd, 2024: Officers responded to the intersection of Rt. 313 and N. Ridge Road for a report of a three-vehicle accident, involving a Toyota Corolla, Kia Forte and a Kia Sorrento. The Toyota was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Ridge Road and was struck by the Kia Forte as it travelled south on Rt. 313. Both vehicles then struck the Kia Sorrento that was stopped on Rt. 313 as it turned. Only minor injuries were reported, and the operator of the Toyota was cited for an unsafe turn.
May 4th 2024: Pennridge Regional Police were dispatched to the parking lot of Giant Food Stores for a hit and run crash. A parked vehicle struck another vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot. The offending vehicle left without providing any information. No further information is available at this time.
